It is great to see everyone back again from the summer and training diligently. This Fall is a busy time at Glen Ridge TKD. 

Women's Self Defense Course
Master Giletti will be teaching a comprehensive three week self defense course for women on Saturday afternoons October 11th, 18th and 25th from 12:15 to 1:00PM. This course is open to all students and non-students 15 years of age and older, so feel free to reach out and include friends and family.  Supporting Master Giletti in leading the course will be Montclair Police Officer and GRTKD student Maria Arroyo.  The course is $35 for the three sessions.  Please sign-up in advance at the front desk. 

Competition Training
I am offering extra training sessions for the Fall competition season.  These sessions are open to all students from green belt and above on Sunday mornings from 10:00AM to 12:00PM and will be focused and intensive, controlled contact training to augment the regular Tuesday and Thursday free-fighting classes. The dates for these sessions are: 9/21, 9/28, 10/5, 10/12 and 10/26.  Students that participate should expect to compete in the upcoming championships. 
 
GRTKD will be participating in two competitions this Fall, the US Masters Open Championships on on Sunday October 19th at Colonia High School, Colonia NJ, (see the poster up in the school); as well as TKDI Interschool Championship on Sunday November 9th at Grandmaster Kim's school on 65th Street in Manhattan.      

Master Marr's Breaking for Bread Fundraiser
Its not too late! Please consider donating a board for $10 that Master Marr will break in a rapid fire demonstration on Saturday September 20th near his school in Shaker Heights, OH.  Proceeds benefit the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.  See the poster up in the school or visit www.marrtkd.com for details and to make a donation.
